It is not sure that I really boosts games, so it is better to test first, before buying for real !

There are lots of apps and ways to overclock a cpu, they will all affect the temp of the chip, why do you need this specific app to overclock

I have tested the GamerzRom on I9000 made by the guy who sells the Game Booster App, and the Roms were much better than other customs roms. I was not overclocking the CPU while using this rom. So it means the improvements are not about CPU overclocking only !

It is all about the scripts and tweaks this guy uses.

So this Game Booster app could have something more to improve games, other than overclocking !

Anyone has tried it yet ?

After reviewing the app it looks sketchy. Only 1 review with 5 stars and no comments. Probably from the dev himself to bump his score. It was also just released July 12th so too early to tell anything. Another red flag is that it requires android 2.2+ yet it says "play games on your old phones." If it requires 2.2+ to run well...your phone aint that old to begin with otherwise it would support 1.6+. Too many red flags personally. I would first try contacting the dev and see if you even get a response back. Ask questions about how it works. Then go from there.

Got email back almost instantly here is contents:
Hi, thanks for interest. This app will decrease background service priorities (lesser CPU overhead), Increase low memory killer values, Tuning CPU treshold, sampling rate, and maybe governor depending on selected gaming mode level. There are too much things that will really imporive gaming. It will work with your Desire S with 2.2+. It only needs Root. More features will be added next days. A few of them; Home screen replacement when gaming mode on, Disable known ram hungry apps while gaming, disable multitasking and focus game (Android 4.0+ needed).

I used the devs Gamerzrom on i9000 also it did work made the phone much faster and freed up a lot of ram for gaming

Sounds like its basically a task killer but with some extra tweaks. If it works it works. You may make me a believer yet. However I have yet to come in contact with a game my phone could not support. But its only a matter of time before I might need it.

Task killer alone won't enhance ur gaming experience...
It has something more...
Low mem killer, ram management, etc...
Actually u can do it urself if u know the right things to be tweaked or edited...
Many custom rom already have it's tweaks which sometimes make this kind of application useless...
